Ville Franche at Villefranche, Riviera
A beautiful, pastel-painted town at the head of the French Riveria, Villefranche is a small town of only 8,000 inhabitants but, within its limits you'll discover a walled citadel, Gothic churches, and ancient harbour, all a delight. For a change of pace, the glamour and pulse of Monte Carlo is just a short drive away. Drive inland over rolling hills to St. Paul de Vence, a walled hill fort which dates back to the middle ages. Le Ranc Davaine at St Alban, Ardeche
St. Alban is a lightly shaded park that enjoys a stunning setting and offers plenty to do for even the most active of families. There are two inviting swimming pools and a children's pool, with a covered pool complex, as well as tennis and mini-golf, plus activities like archery and horse riding in high season. Canoeing on the lovely River Chassezac close by is an added bonus. And at the end of the day, you can also relax over a drink in the pleasant bar. The park becomes lively in high season too, with a full programme of entertainment that includes cabarets and a disco. Out and about, you will find Barjac and Balazuc well worth a visit.
Aloha Village at Serignan Plage, Languedoc
Aloha Village is the ideal place for families who want to fill every moment of the day, and evening too. It offers two bars, a pizzeria, restaurant and ice-cream parlour, not to mention the large pool for swimmers as well as a fun pool complete with waterslide. There's also tennis, a gym and a multi-sport area for football, volleyball and basketball. 500m away there are stables for horse riding and pony trekking. Les Sablons at Portiragnes Plage, Languedoc
Les Sablons is a pleasant, good quality park with an excellent range of facilities that include a friendly bar and restaurant, as well as a pool complex with swimming and children's pools, and great waterslides. Most amenities are open in early season, but the park only becomes really lively during high season, when discos are held both indoors and out in the warm night air. Yet it's the splendid beach that you're sure to love most. With direct access from the park, its huge expanse of gently-shelving sand is a splendid place to relax. But if you can bear to tear yourselves away, you will find delightful resorts such as Cap d'Agde and Valras-Plage, which are both within easy reach.
Domaine de la Bastide at Sampson, Auvergne
This attractive parc has a friendly atmosphere as well as two swimming pools, tennis court, restaurant, bar and children's play area. Off-parc, visits to the nearby town of?Vallon Pont d'Arc and the Rock of Sampzon are a must for some of the most spectacular views. The amazing Pont d'Arc can also be explored by canoe, making for a memorable day out. A simply superb location for families of all ages.

Club Farret is a part of the Yelloh Village chain of campsites. A family run park, it offers everything that you would wish for in a sun and sand holiday, with plenty to do for the whole family. Set close to a long stretch of golden sandy beach this is a lively site with some great facilities. A lagoon style pool complex is a real suntrap, surrounded as it is by palms and shrubs. Children are well catered for with their own separate pool and seven playgrounds. For older children and adults there are also a wide range of sports activities ranging from table tennis to archery. Le Farret benefits from direct access to a wonderful sandy Mediterranean beach and the site's excellent restaurant and pirate-themed bar facilities have more than enough to entertain you for the duration of your stay, however if you can tear yourself away from the park a short 500m walk will take you directly into Vias Plage with its lively bars, restaurants and nightclubs.
Les Rivages de Rochelongue at Cap d'Agde, Languedoc
Agde is one of France's oldest towns and boasts 14km of beautiful fine sandy beaches, with scattered basalt cliffs and small rocky islands. Cap d'Agde is an ideal starting point for exploring the hinterland's rich cultural heritage, including its outstanding archaeological heritage where at the heart of the town is the impressive fortified Romanesque cathedral built of volcanic stone. The apartment is situated 50m from the sea front and is a lively resort with its own private swimming pool. Nearby are many cycle routes which are a perfect way to explore, as well as scuba diving and hiking trials.
Colombier at Frejus, Cote d'Azur

Spectacularly positioned in the Dourbie Valley between the Tarn Gorges and the Cevennes National Park, you are assured of a warm welcome at this exceptional park. Access has never been easier due to the new Millau Viaduct. Though quite steep, the open terraced pitches offer fantastic views looking out over the nearby village of Cantobre which clings to the rock face. The park offers many amenities, including a restaurant, bar and pizzeria housed in the medieval farm buildings at the bottom of the park. Yet the real beauty of Cantobre is the breadth of outdoor activities on offer. This is also a Walking and Wildlife park.

The restaurant and bar on this small site are the ideal location for relaxing at the end of the day. There's a shingle beach close by as well as water sports at nearby Argeles Plage. Situated between the lovely Argeles harbour and the`Cote Rocheuse', Bois de Valmarie not only enjoys breathtaking views, but is also just a five minute drive from the restaurants and shops of Argeles. Why not visit picturesque Collioure, and Perpignan, or perhaps even cross the border into Spain.
Six Four les Plages at Six Four les Plages, Riviera
Coastal trails meander along hidden inlets and creeks all the way to the lovely fishing port of Le Brusc, with its animated nightlife. Coudouliere, situated on the coast between Sanary sur Mer and Le Brusc, features shady woodland, freshwater lakes and lily ponds. Grand and imposing, it consists of modern apartments facing onto a large swimming pool. Despite its mediaeval architecture and quiet churches, Six Fours is a vibrant sports resort with scuba diving, deep sea fishing, kayaking and windsurfing. The traditions and crafts of Provence can be seen in the local festivals and markets.
Holiday Green at Frejus, Cote d'Azur
Holiday Green is a well maintained site with a large Californian pool complex which is great fun for all the family and includes a children's pool with water games. It also has a new covered heated pool, toboggans, solarium and Jacuzzi. To keep the kids happy, a whole range of activities are held throughout the season and there are aqua aerobics, water polo and water volleyball tournament and in July and August swimming lessons, fun water-skiing and even deep-sea diving instruction. The park has a restaurant, bar, supermarket, fitness room, tennis court, boules pitch, archery and mountain biking. There is also free evening entertainment and themed restaurant nights. Due to the undulating nature of the terrain on this park and the placement of some of the pitches on quite steep terraces, this park is not ideal for elderly customers or those with mobility problems.
La Ravoire at Annecy Doussard, Alps
La Ravoire is a park with genuine charm and excellent facilities. The pool complex offers all the family somewhere to swim as well as a great water slide; however it is the mountains and the azure waters of the lake surrounding Annecy that make it so special. La Ravoire is close to the southern tip of the lake and there are beaches just a short drive away for swimming and water sports.
