Les Ranchisses at Largentiere, Ardeche
With an abundance of activities such as canoeing, walking, archery and a full children's entertainment programme, Les Ranchisses has something for every one. If relaxation is in order, the new heated outdoor pools have plenty of loungers or why not indulge in a massage in the new wellness centre which also features a fitness room. Please be aware that due to the landscape, a lot of pitches are located on steep terraces.
La Baie des Anges at La Ciotat, Riviera
Everything you would want and expect from the French Riviera can be found at Le Baie des Anges. The Park name means 'the Bay of Angels' and it lives up to its name with this seaside parc being surrounded by 25 acres of pine trees and olive groves countryside and being just 3 km from Lecques beach. The holiday park has a water park with mushroom sprinklers and a double slide and paddling pool. There are lots of food options on the parc including a bar, restaurant, pizzeria and a cake shop. The park facilities are great but with the French coast offering sunbathing, swimming and exploring of the incredible Calanques ? you will not be short of things to do on this holiday.
Yelloh Village la Petite Camargue at Aigues-Mortes, Languedoc
While the site is quiet in low season, this is a lively site in July and August that makes a great location for a family holiday. There are excellent facilities for the whole family here, including a large swimming pool (complete with shallow area for toddlers), plus a range of activities, including horse riding, bike hire and tennis. The pitches are partially shaded by tall trees, relax here with a good book, or enjoy a cooling drink at the bar terrace which overlooks the pool. As evening falls, enjoy a delicious meal at the restaurant before watching the organised entertainment. Teenagers especially will enjoy the nightly disco.
Camping le Bois de Valmarie at Argeles, Languedoc
Camping le Bois de Valmarie is a relaxed campsite, unwind here with a refreshing drink from the snack bar, while the children have hours of fun whizzing down the water chutes in the three lagoon style pools linked by waterfalls. The terraced emplacements rise up the hillside towards the pool, from where there are outstanding views over the bay of Argeles. At the bottom of the site, surrounded by colourful flower beds, you will find the superb restaurant. Sample a delicious fresh fish dish from the extensive menu, and after dinner relax on the bar terrace with a refreshing glass of local wine.
Holiday Marina at Port Grimaud, Cote d'Azur
Holiday Marina is a small, modern campsite just 900m from the beach and set on the banks of the River Giscle. The campsite is set in a wonderful location within walking distance of picturesque Port Grimaud. The site has a spacious swimming pool with a separate pool for children, plus a jacuzzi. There is also a fantastic bar terrace which overlooks the pool and marina. Children will love the large play area while teenagers will never get bored with the sporting activities including football, basketball and archery. In the evening relax in the restaurant and sample some regional specialities or enjoy the entertainment in the lively bar.

The pitches are generally spacious with some offering fantastic views of the surrounding countryside. The facilities are housed in a beautifully converted mill and include a lovely oak beamed restaurant. The campsites excellent activity programme is extensive, with canyoning, rock-climbing, abseiling and horse riding. The area is excellent for mountain biking and there are organised river treks and walks which the whole family will enjoy.
Six Four les Plages at Six Four les Plages, Riviera
Coastal trails meander along hidden inlets and creeks all the way to the lovely fishing port of Le Brusc, with its animated nightlife. Coudouliere, situated on the coast between Sanary sur Mer and Le Brusc, features shady woodland, freshwater lakes and lily ponds. Grand and imposing, it consists of modern apartments facing onto a large swimming pool. Despite its mediaeval architecture and quiet churches, Six Fours is a vibrant sports resort with scuba diving, deep sea fishing, kayaking and windsurfing. The traditions and crafts of Provence can be seen in the local festivals and markets.
La Ferme de la Serraz at Lake Annecy, Alps

Domaine de Massereau at Sommieres, Languedoc
Part of the prestigious Castels chain, the park owners have created a unique theme, based around the stunning wine producing chateau. Guests are able to take guided tours around the chateau and vineyard and purchase a wide variety of wine that the estate produces every year. The pitches are located amongst tranquil and picturesque oak trees and the facilities including a heated swimming pool and park restaurant, will appeal to families with young children. There is also an indoor spa, jacuzzi and sauna, and in May, June and September, you will get a free 45 minute session when you spend more than 3 nights on park (small charge otherwise). Off park try trekking at the Camargue National Park or take a ride along the 25 miles of purpose built cycle track which runs from Sommieres through the park itself.
Colombier at Frejus, Cote d'Azur
Colombier is a stylish site on the seductive south coast of France. A four star resort with a huge pool complex, waterslides is the centrepiece of a sparkling set of leisure facilities. The park has a full range of sports to explore by day including Les Milles, a very high quality fitness programme. There is also a busy entertainment programme to enjoy by night. If you're looking for even more distractions, the delightful beach of Frejus/Saint Raphael is just 4km away. Due to its location, some road noise can be heard around the site. Holiday Green is a well maintained site with a large Californian pool complex which is great fun for all the family and includes a children's pool with water games. It also has a new covered heated pool, toboggans, solarium and Jacuzzi. To keep the kids happy, a whole range of activities are held throughout the season and there are aqua aerobics, water polo and water volleyball tournament and in July and August swimming lessons, fun water-skiing and even deep-sea diving instruction. The park has a restaurant, bar, supermarket, fitness room, tennis court, boules pitch, archery and mountain biking. There is also free evening entertainment and themed restaurant nights. Due to the undulating nature of the terrain on this park and the placement of some of the pitches on quite steep terraces, this park is not ideal for elderly customers or those with mobility problems.
La Baume at Frejus, Cote d'Azur
Close to the Esterel forest, la Baume has an excellent range of facilities which makes it one of the most popular parks on the French Riviera. This large, lively park has a Californian-style pool complex that includes a covered pool and tropical palm tree islands. There is also a completely separate and beautifully designed lagoon pool with still more slides, providing wonderful facilities for all. The park's first class facilities also include two bars, restaurant and tennis courts, play area, take-away and fitness room. There are plenty of lovely beaches nearby and come the evening you can choose between live entertainment or dancing the night away in the park's own disco. It really is a site to suit everyone, with a full and varied entertainment programme and a lively disco. The Roman town of Frajus is 4km away, with its broad sandy beach, bars and restaurants. Traffic from the nearby motorway can be heard.
Gassin at Gassin, Riviera
Long, lazy days can be spent around the spacious 650-m² swimming pool or for the more active, visit the Cogolin Water sports Centre just 50m away. There's also tennis at the resort, horse riding 4km away Beauvallon Golf Course (18 holes) 5 km away. Les Marines de Gassin lies 6 km from Gassin with its narrow winding streets and preserved Provencal character. The resort is located in a private park with direct access to a sandy beach.
