This campsite really is something special. Nestled in the gorgeous green Dordogne countryside, high up on a hill sits Domaine de la Paille Basse, a 5* Castels campsite. The site is an old Medieval Village which has been entirely restored in keeping with the local and historic architecture of this region. Domaine de la Paille Baisse is a fantastic base for an active holiday with lots of activities arranged on site and plenty to do and see off site too. On site the tranquil pool area is the perfect spot to soak up the sunshine and relax. Kids can play around in the childrens pool and there are waterslides too for the more adventurous. In the evening, take a seat in the old barn that now houses the pretty restaurant to enjoy some delicious regional dishes.

It has three pools in an excellent complex which is the park's centrepiece and the facilities here are good all round, with tennis as well as a children's play area. About 900m away, you can learn to surf and body board in the spectacular Atlantic waves.
