Chateau d'Olonne at Les Sables d'Olonne, Vendee
There is much to see here the Ile de Penotte, a picturesque old quarter in the town centre with pedestrian alleys and facades decorated with shells by a local artist, not to mention the La Chaume quarter, where the city originated, the fishermen's district, with the Place Sainte Anne and its magnificent trompe l'il fresco. And don't miss the delicious food market or fishing port where you can find fish at its freshest. The historical theme park, Le Grand Parc du Puy du Fou is also just 92km away. Located in the Vendee, a region famous for its long sandy beaches, close to Les Sables d'Olonne, Residence L'Estran is a hotel and residence located between the Puits d'Enfer, a deep cleft in the cliff into which the sea comes crashing at high tide, and the town centre. The swimming pool faces the sea and the sandy beaches are just 2km away. There are many activities available locally too such as golf and water sports. There is something for everyone.
La Baume at Frejus, Cote d'Azur
Its excellent range of facilities has made La Baume one of the most popular parks on the French Riviera. You'd think that the magnificent pool complex with its four lane waterslide would be the unrivalled centrepiece of this lively park. However, in addition there is a completely separate and beautifully designed lagoon pool with its own slides. And there is also a covered pool on two levels, with slides, jacuzzi and steam room. The park's first class facilities also include two bars, restaurant and tennis courts, play area, take-away and fitness room. There are also plenty of lovely beaches nearby and come the evening you can choose between live entertainment or dancing the night away in the park's own disco. Please note that road noise can sometimes be heard on site.
Le Touquet at Le Touquet, Picardy
A major civic renovation programme, preserving the resort's historic heart, means that now is the ideal time to experience this historic, elegant corner of Picardy. A beach resort with a fashionable past behind it, Le Touquet's well planned streets and bracing forest tracks offer everything from dunes to dressage. The sea is never far away, not least from the Thalassotherapy centre, with its restorative spa treats. Outside, you can enjoy a swim in the sun at the beach, or a gallop at the equestrian centre nearby. France's northeast coast is wonderfully invigorating and Le Touquet is the perfect spot for exploring.
Dunes et Soleil at Marseillan-Plage, Languedoc
In the sunny South of France, Dunes et Soleil's beachside location makes it a highly popular holiday park. The golden, sandy beach which can be directly accessed from the Park is perfect for lazy sunbathing and/or swimming in the sea. With the beach so close the park does not have a swimming pool but it does have a splash and paddling pool to keep younger children entertained. There is a relatively simple snack bar and takeaway on the park but with the lively town centre of Marseillan Plage a few minutes? walk away there are plenty of catering options close by.
La Yole at St Jean Plage, Vendee
La Yole is one of the most popular sites in the region. It is located just two miles from the beach of Les Mouettes in a restful setting and family atmosphere. There are a number of pools including an indoor pool, water-slide, paddling pool and play area - lots to entertain all the family. The restaurant, offers a varied menu, and pleasant bar overlook the swimming pools. Evening entertainment, held at the bar can get quite lively during high season and may be heard from some parts of the site.
Camping le Ruisseau at Biarritz, Gascony
Camping le Ruisseau is a well equipped, top quality family run site. Situated in the Basque country and close to the sea, the majestic peaks of the Pyrenees rise in the distance. The pitches here are set in shady oak land and the site boasts its own lake, which is ideal for a quiet spot of carp fishing. Camping Le Capeyrou at Beynac-et-Cazenac, Dordogne
Kick off your flip-flops and dip your toes into the Dordogne River, or float around the heated swimming pool and gaze up at Beynac?s hill-top ch?teau. Or if you want to explore authentic Europe then the medieval town of Beynac, with its inviting bakeries and authentic restaurants along the narrow streets, is only a short stroll away. The atmosphere at Le Capeyrou is civilised and tranquil; the setting of the large spacious pitches, surrounded by hedgerows, is picturesque and relaxing. But there is lots of fun to be had to. Domaine de Massereau at Sommieres, Languedoc
Domaine de Massereau has a great countryside view amongst the vines of the famous Massereau estate ideally situated for exploring the many attractions of the Languedoc region. The park owners provide a warm and friendly welcome and the site has a quiet rural France feel. Set in the heart of the Massereau estate of 40 hectares of vines, grown by the owner, the park has a swimming pool with slides, a children's pool, trampoline, mini golf, running track, bike track, tennis, shop, playroom, bar and a restaurant offering grills done on a wood fire, pizzas around the swimming pool and take away snacks.
La Sirene at Argeles-sur-Mer, Languedoc
La Sirene is located just north of Argeles-sur-Mer which is famed for its five mile stretch of golden sand. This is a large family park that has lots of activities to keep the whole family busy including a large tropical pool complex. Scuba diving lessons are available in the pool, windsurfing, tennis, mini golf and even a free bus service to the beach. As you would expect most evenings are often spent in the open air bar, which is also the venue for regular late night cabaret and karaoke throughout the season. L'Etang de la Breche at Saumur, Loire Valley
Just five miles from the market town of Saumur, the most striking thing about this park is the wonderful space and openness of the grounds. There are acres of space for you to relax in and for the children to explore. The site is extremely well maintained by the owners, including an impressive pool complex with waterslides and a separate pool for youngsters and a superb play area. The park has an attractive bar and restaurant. Situated in the Loire, the location is ideal for exploring the many outstanding chateaux.

Lacs du Verdon at Regusse, Riviera

Based in the north west of Paris, Camping International is close to a local train station, just a twenty minute journey to the city centre and a direct journey to Disneyland Resort Paris. What's more Versailles is only 20 minutes away by car. This site is all about its location and as a result the facilities are quite basic but do include a shop and bar. The local town of Maisons Laffitte is walking distance and there you will find some good restaurants, a supermarket and local shops. Barges and trains can be heard on-site.
Soleil Plage at Vitrac, Dordogne
Soleil Plage enjoys a superb setting that is perfect for a family holiday, lying on the banks of the gently flowing Dordogne. It has two small beaches, both situated on one of the loveliest stretches of the river, which are favourite spots for both swimming and canoeing. The park itself offers you an excellent heated pool complex, with waterslides for the children and a Jacuzzi for you to laze in. And at the end of the day, you'll find that the excellent restaurant, which is just one of the amenities housed in converted Parigordin farm buildings, makes for a wonderful evening. You are also perfectly situated for visiting the famous sights here. Sarlat is only a short drive from the park and the beautiful riverside towns of La Roque-Gageac and Beynac are both accessible by road or river.

Cap Coz is situated in a sandy spit of land which makes it seem like an island. It is ideally placed for sunbathing on beaches backed with pine trees. If you are into wildlife there is a boat trip to the sanctuaries of the Glenan Islands. Cap Coz is perfectly placed as a base to explore Brittany's famous landscapes and busy market towns.
Les Mouettes at Carantec, Brittany
Les Mouettes is situated near one of the most beautiful bays on the Breton coast. Carantec has a feeling of peace and spaciousness that makes it a popular choice with families.
