Ideally placed for the Channel ports, this 'Castels' park enjoys a picturesque location in the gardens of Chateau de Drancourt, with many facilities that make it ideal for a great family holiday. Children will love the play areas and the three pools, one of which is covered, while the golf range is popular with absolutely everyone. There are also some beautifully converted stables, which provide a focal point for many other activities. The owners have created a great family atmosphere too, which you can sample at the cosy restaurant, in the bar of the main Chateau, or at the lively karaoke nights held in high summer. The local area offers a wealth of day trips too, with the medieval port of St. Valery just a few kilometres away.

Les Roulottes des Monedieres is set in the heart of a national park and the local area offers a wealth of treasures to explore. The park is around 800 metres from the pretty town of Chamberet, with a range of useful facilities. Take a relaxing stroll though Treignac which is regularly voted as one of the most beautiful villages in France. The fierce river Vezere runs through the town and is perfect for watching expert canoe and kayak descents.

Even so, superb swimming facilities and wonderful beaches are only a small part of the reason for coming to this super park. There is an excellent children's play area here, and activities are first class too, with lively regular entertainment in the bar throughout the season, sometimes going on quite late in high summer. There are also several restaurants open nearby in the height of the season. Some of our pitches are across a road from the main park facilities.

Park residents are entitled to free access to the pool according to a credit system for entry, please ask at time of booking. There is an imaginative adventure play area which is conveniently overlooked by the bar terrace and an excellent pool complex with waterslides. Swimming in the large lake is allowed or if you want something more leisurely then you can hire a pedalo. You can also relax on the sandy lakeside beach and you will find that the beach bar has some outstanding views across the lake and pool complex. On the park there is also a good restaurant, a 9 hole golf course and a Balneo therapy wellness centre, including sauna, massage, Turkish bath and hydro-massage.

Just a little way from the coast road, La Yole also offers you a beautiful beach nearby and two super resorts just down the road. Out and about, you'll find chic St. Jean de Monts just up the coast which offers a nice change of pace. There's a lovely air of relaxation about this part of the Vendee too, with its myriad of cosy cafes and seaside stalls selling local wine and produce. And should you just want to explore, you'll find that the whole area is covered with fragrant pine forests.
