Parc de Fierbois at Tours, Loire Valley
Set in 250 acres of glorious wooded parkland and surrounding a private chateau this site is just one mile from the village of St Catherine de Fierbois. At this park you will find an impressive modern poolside bar complex to please all the family, with entertainment in high season. You are also close to a lakeside beach where you can hire pedalos and canoes. It is ideally situated for exploring the Chateau of the Loire region and the vineyards of Chinon and Vouvray. The town of Tours is also close by and is ideal for shopping and sightseeing.
La Baie des Anges at La Ciotat, Riviera
Everything you would want and expect from the French Riviera can be found at Le Baie des Anges. The Park name means 'the Bay of Angels' and it lives up to its name with this seaside parc being surrounded by 25 acres of pine trees and olive groves countryside and being just 3 km from Lecques beach. The holiday park has a water park with mushroom sprinklers and a double slide and paddling pool. There are lots of food options on the parc including a bar, restaurant, pizzeria and a cake shop. The park facilities are great but with the French coast offering sunbathing, swimming and exploring of the incredible Calanques ? you will not be short of things to do on this holiday.
Cap Esterel 3 Suns at St Raphael, Riviera
A rocky headland, carefully transformed into a patchwork of bright blue pools, lush green parkland and red-roofed holiday homes, that's Cap Esterel. Dramatic hills sweep down to a succession of emerald waters and sandy coves. Careful planning means that, away from the main artery in and out, there are plenty of traffic free spots to unwind and play. Similarly smart is the design for this excellent holiday village divided into two distinct areas. The 'Quartier du Hameau' is situated between Cap Esterel's main beach, Dramont, and the centre of the village, while the 'Quartier du Village' is, essentially, golf-central. A shimmering mixture of sun kissed pools, bright, well-thought out accommodation with lawns sweeping down to the coast. From pony riding to flying trapeze lessons, you'll have no excuse to laze around. Well, not all the time.
Ty Nadan at Arzano, Brittany
Ty Nadan offers excellent facilities, not least of which are three outdoor pools, an indoor pool and spa with an impressive waterslide and twisting water chute. With an indoor complex for badminton and rock climbing this park is perfect for active families, with evening entertainment for everyone organised throughout the season. Its wooded parkland setting is ideal for exploring on foot or on horseback and more energetic activities such as river canoeing, sea kayaking and guided mountain bike tours are also available. Despite these varied activities it's still a relaxing setting. In fact, in early and late summer the park is especially suited to those wanting a quiet holiday with small children and having direct access to the sandy banks of the river Elle it really comes into it's own.
Chateau de l'Eperviere at Gigny-sur-Saone, Burgundy
Chateau de l'Eperviere is an attractive site, situated in mature woodland in the heart of France's Burgundy region. This is a quiet haven where the generous emplacements are set amongst ancient oaks, providing plenty of space for the children to explore. Cool off with a refreshing swim in the two pools, one of which is covered, or the ultimate way to de-stress is taking a relaxing jacuzzi or sauna. There is a delightful restaurant housed in the 16th century chateau and the cosy bar hosts regular wine tasting sessions. This is an excellent area for walkers and cyclists to go exploring.
Camping la Grenouillere at Blois, Loire Valley
Camping la Grenouillere is set in countryside close to the banks of the Loire, this Castels site has a relaxed atmosphere, ideal for a quiet holiday. The large pitches are positioned in both wooded and open areas. At the centre of the site is a rustic chateau surrounded by a moat, which houses a cosy bar and restaurant with a patio area overlooking the pool. The tropical pool complex offers three pools, bridges, slides and water chutes. Theres also a covered pool, a jacuzzi and a sauna. The sporting activities here are excellent. The energetic can enjoy floodlit tennis, volleyball, archery and football, while the more sedate can spend an afternoon fishing at the chateau moat.
Ville Franche at Villefranche, Riviera
A beautiful, pastel-painted town at the head of the French Riveria, Villefranche is a small town of only 8,000 inhabitants but, within its limits you'll discover a walled citadel, Gothic churches, and ancient harbour, all a delight. For a change of pace, the glamour and pulse of Monte Carlo is just a short drive away. Drive inland over rolling hills to St. Paul de Vence, a walled hill fort which dates back to the middle ages. Back in Villefranche, take your pick from a string of harbourside restaurants, offering decidedly Italian-influenced meals, each more inviting than the next.
Le Clarys Plage at St Jean Plage, Vendee
The pool complex covers all the bases with water slides; children's pool; jacuzzi and indoor swimming pool there is something for every one who likes water. For those who prefer the salty version the beach is a short walk and is great for jumping waves, body boarding or relaxing in the sun. There is an extensive programme of activities supplied by the Al Fresco children's club as well as the on site facilities including children's playground; tennis; table tennis and football/volleyball pitch. Off site there are plenty of things to keep you occupied with bike hire around the corner; Atlantic Toboggan water park a short drive away to the picturesque town of St Giles Croix De Vie; the wonderful promenade at St Jean de Monts with a fantastic long beach, cafes, bars and shops all within a short drive. A little further away you will find the zoo at Sables which is worth a visit.
Bois de Valmarie at Argeles-sur-Mer, Languedoc
Bois de Valmarie is a popular park. Set on a hillside close to the beach of Le Racou, and a short walk from lively Argeles with many restaurants and bars. The great tropical pool complex has a stunning array of waterslides and water chutes linked by waterfalls and a childrens pool. The watermark has fantastic views of the Bay of Argeles. The restaurant and bar on this small site are the ideal location for relaxing at the end of the day. There's a shingle beach close by as well as water sports at nearby Argeles Plage. Situated between the lovely Argeles harbour and the`Cote Rocheuse', Bois de Valmarie not only enjoys breathtaking views, but is also just a five minute drive from the restaurants and shops of Argeles. Why not visit picturesque Collioure, and Perpignan, or perhaps even cross the border into Spain.
Camping le Clarys Plage at St Jean-Plage, Vendee
Located at the entrance to Camping le Clarys Plage are the feature waterslides and jacuzzi, fountains and bridges, as well as a separate covered pool and a paddling pool for the children. The bar terrace overlooks the pool area, providing an excellent spot to relax with a cool drink, and is the venue for the evening entertainment that takes place regularly throughout the season. There is a pizzeria on site, but no shop or restaurant, however there is a supermarket and a choice of bars and restaurants just a short walk away.
Chateau des Ormes at Dol-de-Bretagne, Brittany
With 250 acres of chateau parkland and woods, this site is extremely popular with our customers, particularly teenagers, and becomes very lively in high season. Les Ormes also offers you an extensive range of good facilities, together with an even more impressive range of activities. Golf and riding take pride of place on the sporting agenda however, as the park has its own 18 hole course, complete with an exclusive clubhouse for golfers and horse riding school offering rides for all ages and treks for all abilities. You can also play tennis, ramble through the vast and beautiful estate, or you may just want to enjoy the splendid water park style pool complex, with new wave pool and covered pool. You can get a refreshing drink at the lakeside bar, or perhaps on the terrace next to the swimming pool complex where lots of evening entertainment is on offer. Children will love the watermark with its four-lane waterslide and the newly built indoor pool complex. There is also a recently built outdoor wave pool, great fun for all the family to enjoy. Pedalos can be hired on the campsite lake. There is a cosy pub with lakeside terrace and restaurant, plus all-weather football pitch and an activity programme all season. Dol-de-Bretagne is 8km away.
Domaine du Verdon at Castellane, Riviera
Lying on the banks of the river Verdon, this excellent Castels park offers you both first class facilities and unsurpassed opportunities for an active, adventurous holiday. If you're in the mood for relaxing, there are two swimming pools, waterslides, a restaurant and pizzeria offering a variety of meals and a charming terrace on which to enjoy a leisurely drink. In high summer, there are activities for both adults and children, including indoor and outdoor discos. Yet it would be a shame not to sample some of the many outdoor activities on offer in the region. With rambling, horse-riding, river fishing, rafting, bungee jumping, and more besides, the choices really are endless.
Les Rivages de Rochelongue at Cap d'Agde, Languedoc
Agde is one of France's oldest towns and boasts 14km of beautiful fine sandy beaches, with scattered basalt cliffs and small rocky islands. Cap d'Agde is an ideal starting point for exploring the hinterland's rich cultural heritage, including its outstanding archaeological heritage where at the heart of the town is the impressive fortified Romanesque cathedral built of volcanic stone. The apartment is situated 50m from the sea front and is a lively resort with its own private swimming pool. Nearby are many cycle routes which are a perfect way to explore, as well as scuba diving and hiking trials.
Chateau de Galinee at St Cast, Brittany
Chateau de Galinee is a family run 'Castels' park offering well maintained modern facilities and a relaxed atmosphere. In addition to the play area there is acres of space for the children to run off their energy as well as a superb pool complex with water slides. St Cast is nearby and is a charming resort with a soft sandy beach perfect for soaking up the sun or strolling along the beautiful coastal walks. St Malo and Dinan are worth visiting and are within easy reach.
Camping Atlantique Parc at La Palmyre, Royan
Situated in 42 acres of natural landscaped grounds, this parc is ideal for a fun family holiday. With swimming pools, mini farm and playground, there is plenty to keep the young ones entertained. The pool especially is a real winner, with its natural beach surrounding the pool?s lagoon-shaped contours.?And for the water enthusiasts, the beach nearby offers a wide variety of watersports. You can also hire bikes and explore the local area, with its colourful markets, shops and the kids will love spending time at La Palmyre Zoo. There is also a little train that stops outside the parc, which will take you to the centre of La Palmyre, the lovely sandy beach and to other local attractions. Due to its location, some road noise can be heard.
Bordaberry at Urugne, Gascony
Wide, blue skies, sparkling waters and whitewashed villages combine to create a commute that no one would complain about. Great golf courses and restaurants, a soft, sandy beach, and horse riding schools are just a short drive away. Thoroughly Mediterranean, yet actually only a few kilometres from the Atlantic, Bordaberry is a stunning development nestling in cypress and pine woods. Wander a few kilometres north and you're in buzzing Biarritz, with its heady mix of casinos and cocktails. South and you're en route to the cultural, cosmopolitan Spanish city of San Sebastian. Bordaberry is one of the Bay of Biscay's best placed destinations. The golden sun light and azure blue seas will put a spell on you as you enjoy a sunset from the balcony of your spacious apartment, or laze away the day at the poolside.
Club Farret at Vias Plage, Languedoc
This family run park offers everything you could need for a sun and sand holiday with plenty to do for the whole family. The lagoon style pool complex, surrounded by palms and shrubs, is a real sun trap and even better a newly planned spa and extended pool. The park also offers no less than seven playgrounds, while adults can enjoy sports that range from table tennis to archery. Le Farret benefits from direct access to a wonderful sandy Mediterranean beach and the site's excellent restaurant and pirate themed bar facilities have more than enough to entertain you for the duration of your stay, however if you can tear yourself away from the park, a short 500m walk will take you directly into Vias Plage with its lively bars, restaurants and nightclubs.
Yelloh Village la Petite Camargue at Aigues-Mortes, Languedoc
While the site is quiet in low season, this is a lively site in July and August that makes a great location for a family holiday. There are excellent facilities for the whole family here, including a large swimming pool (complete with shallow area for toddlers), plus a range of activities, including horse riding, bike hire and tennis. The pitches are partially shaded by tall trees, relax here with a good book, or enjoy a cooling drink at the bar terrace which overlooks the pool. As evening falls, enjoy a delicious meal at the restaurant before watching the organised entertainment. Teenagers especially will enjoy the nightly disco.
Cannes Villa Francia at Cannes, Riviera
Its ideal location means that Cannes Villa Francia is perfect for Pimms by the pool and a good book. With the rattle and buzz of Cannes just a telephoto lens away, this is the place to head for those in search of lazy afternoons and unforgettable views over the Bay of Cannes. Les Sablons is a pleasant, good quality park with an excellent range of facilities that include a friendly bar and restaurant, as well as a pool complex with swimming and children's pools, and great waterslides. Most amenities are open in early season, but the park only becomes really lively during high season, when discos are held both indoors and out in the warm night air. Yet it's the splendid beach that you're sure to love most. With direct access from the park, its huge expanse of gently-shelving sand is a splendid place to relax. But if you can bear to tear yourselves away, you will find delightful resorts such as Cap d'Agde and Valras-Plage, which are both within easy reach.
