La Cote d'Argent at Hourtin Plage, Royan
Cote d'Argent is a fantastic?family?choice thanks to its excellent facilities and good access to many other sights and attractions nearby. Here, you're just 300m from a lovely sandy beach where you can hire surfboards and take advantage of the huge Atlantic rollers. You're also just a ten minute drive away from France's largest fresh water lake where more water sports are available, and slightly further afield are famous vineyards including Pessac and Medoc - perfect for wine lovers. La Pergola at Lac de Chalain, Jura
This award winning park is situated on the shoreline of the Lac de Chalain and is a great place to explore the lakes and mountains of this wonderful area. Lac de Chalain has a superb family atmosphere with a good range of facilities including a superb pool complex with sunbathing area and a flower decked bar and restaurant terrace. In high season the site becomes very lively, with plenty of organised entertainment. There's also a lakeside beach where you can swim, canoe and windsurf. The area is great for walkers, with rolling countryside and cascading waterfalls just waiting to be discovered. The Jura is a wonderful region for exploring; the Herisson Waterfalls make for a spectacular day out, while the French Alps are also close by.
La Palombiere at Sarlat, Dordogne
This well maintained park is set in rolling hills in unspoilt countryside this is a highly rated park by visitors. The shop, bar and restaurant are converted form lovely old farm buildings. The pretty bar terrace overlooks the swimming pool area, waterslides, tennis court, and spacious play area. Much of the accommodation can be found on pitches shaded by mature oak trees.
La Sirene at Argeles-sur-Mer, Languedoc
La Sirene is located just north of Argeles-sur-Mer which is famed for its five mile stretch of golden sand. This is a large family park that has lots of activities to keep the whole family busy including a large tropical pool complex. Scuba diving lessons are available in the pool, windsurfing, tennis, mini golf and even a free bus service to the beach. As you would expect most evenings are often spent in the open air bar, which is also the venue for regular late night cabaret and karaoke throughout the season. While beyond the park, you will enjoy the spectacular Pyrenees that form the dramatic backdrop to the spacious, sandy beaches and the park itself.
Moliets 4 Sun at Moliets et Maa, Gascony
The holiday village at Moliets has to be one of your first choices if you're looking for an active family holiday set in tranquil surroundings. Chateau de l'Eperviere is an attractive site, situated in mature woodland in the heart of France's Burgundy region. This is a quiet haven where the generous emplacements are set amongst ancient oaks, providing plenty of space for the children to explore. Cool off with a refreshing swim in the two pools, one of which is covered, or the ultimate way to de-stress is taking a relaxing jacuzzi or sauna. Domaine de Drancourt at St Valery, Picardy

Le Val de Bonnal at Rougemont, Jura

Le Ranc Davaine at St Alban, Ardeche
St. Alban is a lightly shaded park that enjoys a stunning setting and offers plenty to do for even the most active of families. There are two inviting swimming pools and a children's pool, with a covered pool complex, as well as tennis and mini-golf, plus activities like archery and horse riding in high season. Canoeing on the lovely River Chassezac close by is an added bonus. And at the end of the day, you can also relax over a drink in the pleasant bar. Mandelieu at Mandelieu, Riviera
Perfectly placed for water sports and golf lovers, Mandelieu is a fascinating, historic port in its own right with a large, busy harbour, sprawling castle and great restaurants. Look out to sea, and count the white sails in the bay of Cannes. From Mandelieu's teeming harbour, strike out and discover an isolated cove, or traditional seaside villages like Theoule, where development is kept strictly under control or Cannes, which is quite the opposite. Idyllically situated on a loop of the Siagne River just 800 metres from the coast, your residence is a real find.
Le Clarys Plage at St Jean Plage, Vendee
The pool complex covers all the bases with water slides; children's pool; jacuzzi and indoor swimming pool there is something for every one who likes water. For those who prefer the salty version the beach is a short walk and is great for jumping waves, body boarding or relaxing in the sun. Chateau d'Olonne at Les Sables d'Olonne, Vendee
There is much to see here the Ile de Penotte, a picturesque old quarter in the town centre with pedestrian alleys and facades decorated with shells by a local artist, not to mention the La Chaume quarter, where the city originated, the fishermen's district, with the Place Sainte Anne and its magnificent trompe l'il fresco. And don't miss the delicious food market or fishing port where you can find fish at its freshest. The historical theme park, Le Grand Parc du Puy du Fou is also just 92km away. Located in the Vendee, a region famous for its long sandy beaches, close to Les Sables d'Olonne, Residence L'Estran is a hotel and residence located between the Puits d'Enfer, a deep cleft in the cliff into which the sea comes crashing at high tide, and the town centre. The swimming pool faces the sea and the sandy beaches are just 2km away. There are many activities available locally too such as golf and water sports. There is something for everyone.

A beautiful, pastel-painted town at the head of the French Riveria, Villefranche is a small town of only 8,000 inhabitants but, within its limits you'll discover a walled citadel, Gothic churches, and ancient harbour, all a delight. For a change of pace, the glamour and pulse of Monte Carlo is just a short drive away. Drive inland over rolling hills to St. Paul de Vence, a walled hill fort which dates back to the middle ages. Back in Villefranche, take your pick from a string of harbourside restaurants, offering decidedly Italian-influenced meals, each more inviting than the next.
La Croix du Vieux Pont at Berny Riviere, Paris
Easily reached from Calais or Paris, this park is beautifully situated in the Aisne valley beside a gently flowing river.
