The park is located in a quiet area of St. Georges D'Oleron with good access to the many cyclist-only roads that run around the island. The 'Plaisance' beach offers a broad sweep of golden sand and the unusual sight of Fort Boyard close by. Out and about, you are just 1km from the Saumonards forest, and you will find the town itself to be a quaint little place, dedicated to fishing and the oyster industry. It is located close to the beach, just a ten minute walk, and five miles south of the busy town of St Jean-de-Monts (which also has some great beaches). There is also an excellent children's play area, which along with the many activities makes this a popular family resort. The park runs entertainment throughout the season and there are many local restaurants close by.
