You are spoilt for choice as to where to swim on this park. With the superb pool complex including a hydro massage spa it may be difficult to decide whether to use the on park facilities or the clear waters of Lake Garda; there is direct access to the lake with its pebbled beach and tree-lines shore. Zocco is ideally situated for enjoying the Italian atmosphere with views of the delightful town of Sirmione across the lake. There are plenty of open grassy spaces for children to play on and some shaded pitches; in high season it may be necessary to park away from your pitch. A short walk away there is an open-air disco for older children to enjoy; however some noise can be heard at night.

A great place for an evening stroll is the small medieval village of Castagneto Carducci which is a short distance inland, where you can sample their famous ice cream. Less than a kilometre away, you can windsurf, water-ski, sail a dinghy or paddle a canoe from the beaches at Salò or Baia del Vento. For the more leisurely the easily accessible little lakeside beach is perfect for swimming and sunbathing or you can use the first class pool facilities. Alternatively you can simply relax with a glass of wine whilst admiring the surrounding scenery. The pretty lakeside town of Portese, with its lake ferry that can take you to Gardaland, a superb fun park which is ideal for the whole family, is nearby.

With boats as frequent as buses you can relax and enjoy the magnificent sights with someone else doing the work. The campsite has a lovely open feel with pleasant, grassy pitches. There's also plenty to do on site with tennis courts, table tennis and swimming pools for all the family, as well as organised activities during the high season. The pebbly lake beach is ideal to soak up the sun or try out canoeing. The nearby villages of Moniga and Manerba are really most attractive but the regular boat trips available from nearby Desenzano are definitely the best way to see most of the pretty lakeside villages.
