There are simply acres and acres for you to relax in and for the children to run off their spare energy. The facilities are excellent, including an impressive pool complex with waterslides and a separate toddler pool. The family proprietors are your hosts in the attractive bar and restaurant, and their personal approach is much in evidence throughout. The location is ideal for exploring, with l'Etang de la Breche nearby as well as many outstanding chateaux.

This pretty campsite is close to the main route on the Cherbourg peninsula making it ideal for stopovers or the whole holiday. A quiet, friendly Castels park it's a great place to simply relax while you soak up the atmosphere and enjoy its beautiful setting in the grounds of the manor house. There are some well maintained facilities, which include a remodelled covered swimming complex with slides and a water chute. There is also a sandy beach close to the village of St Pair-sur Mer which is just over 2 miles away. There is also fishing on the little lake, free of charge. Ideal for young families, the friendly owners work extremely hard to make your stay here enjoyable.

This park offers a well equipped pool complex with an indoor and heated outdoor pool; jacuzzi; 2 waterslides and small slides for the little ones. If that is not enough there are multiple playgrounds with trampolines and go-karts; mini golf; tennis and table tennis and also archery (open from 1st May). The restaurant offers meals for those days when you do not want to cook or alternatively try the pizzeria. On site is a supermarket and separate bakery offering freshly baked bread daily. There is a weekly coach excursion to Disneyland Resort Paris, but it is about an hour's drive if you prefer to go in your own time. Compiegne is 15 miles away and Soissons is 11 miles; the sleepy village of Pierrefonds with a fairytale castle is only 9 miles away.

Chateau des Ormes is for you if you like water with a fantastic outdoor wave pool; two outdoor swimming pools; a tropical outdoor pool with waterslides; an indoor pool complex with water slides, lazy river and jacuzzi baths as well as a children's splash pool. Due to the undulating nature of the terrain on this park and the placement of some of the pitches on quite steep terraces, this park is not ideal for those with mobility problems.

Within 1/2 a mile of a sandy beach Cote de Nacre is a site with plenty to do including a tropical pool complex with swimming pool, water slides and chutes. For those looking to relax there is a sauna and Hammam, There is a playground for smaller children and organised activities for children aged 7-10 years from mid July to August. For older children there is table tennis and table football as well as outdoor fun including a synthetic outdoor ice rink, multi sport pitch for football, basketball, volleyball and tennis. There is a bar, restaurant, takeaway on site. There is evening entertainment from mid July to August including weekly disco, live music, quizzes and karaoke.

The superb pool complex has two pools, one with a lazy river, toboggans and a retractable roof over one of the pools. There is an indoor Spa and Jacuzzi with a Hammam (Turkish bath) and massage available. The park is extremely pretty, in a lovely setting close to a small village and is also perfectly placed for sightseeing. The Loire River is just a short distance away, with opportunities for canoeing and fishing. Most importantly, the Loire is most famous for its many chateaux, two of which, Chambord and Blois, are close to hand.

Camping Sylvamar is part of the Yelloh! Village chain of campsites. The excellent facilities, located away from our accommodation, include a lagoon style watermark complete with waterslides and lazy river, overlooked by the modern restaurant and bar terrace. It is just a fifteen minute walk or cycle to the fine sandy beaches of this area, and water sports facilities are widely available. Whilst there is plenty to do at this well-maintained campsite, the Les Landes forest is perfect for cyclists. Campsite rules are strictly enforced for the benefit and comfort of all guests. The facilities on this park are second to none, especially the superb aquatic area with its three pools, lazy river and triple waterslide. About 900m away, you can learn to surf and body board in the spectacular Atlantic waves. There are dozens of activities for kids of all ages, as well as entertainment, cantered around the bar-restaurant every night in high season, with the promise that all will be quiet after midnight. And the park owner is keen for all rules to be respected for the benefit and comfort of all guests. Beyond the park, Labenne offers endless forest roads and cycle paths; while the town itself has a splendid outdoor market, two petting zoos, as well as the lovely Marais d'Orx nature park.

L'Etoile d'Argenshas a lovely pool complex with adjoining bar and restaurant is popular with all the guests, as is the animation programme which runs from May to August, offering organised activities for the whole family. This spectacular park that is ideally situated on the banks of a natural lake and it is surrounded by the wooded foothills of the Jura. It features a fantastic pool complex with waterslides, children's pool, jacuzzi and heated indoor pool, not to mention a wide range of sporting activities, though some may not be available until July. Park residents are entitled to free access to the pool according to a credit system for entry, please ask at time of booking. The adjoining lakeside beach is a great place to soak up the sun, but you can also fish, swim, or hire a pedalo or canoe. There are also many beautiful walks and gorgeous wine villages to be explored and the many attractions of Switzerland are within easy reach.

On the Atlantic coast, Le Vieux Port is close to a magnificent long, sandy beach, backed by sand dunes, which shelves steeply into the lively waves. The park is located in a beautiful pine forest and has some great facilities including a great pool complex with seven pools and excellent waterslides. Out of the pool there is also a lot to do with a fun adventure playground, tennis, table tennis, and all sorts of games and sports events during the busy summer months. The park has it's own grill restaurant and during the summer there is also a weekly barbecue with an occasional disco held in high season. Delightful Bordeaux and bustling Bayonne are also both within easy reach by car and the lakeside resort of Port d'Albret is a short walk away and Messanges is 3 km away.
