This Castels site has been transformed from a run down chateau. The old watermill is now the bar and the coach house and stables are now the golf club. The fabulous pool complex includes three pools and a superb water park with chutes beside the tree-lined fishing lake, and a new covered lagoon-style pool with wave pool. Our generous, grassy emplacements are scattered throughout the campsite and our Fairytale Cottages are set in a secluded woodland setting - ideal if you are looking for something a little different. Camping la Grande Metairie at Carnac, Brittany
The spacious emplacements are surrounded by mature trees and hedges, which offer some shade and privacy. The fabulous pool complex boasts a covered pool, two outdoor pools, five waterslides and a jacuzzi. Adjacent is an enclosure where children can meet some affectionate farm animals. Le Clarys Plage at St Jean Plage, Vendee
In a very popular family area, this excellent park is regarded as one of the best in the Vendee. It is located close to the beach, just a ten minute walk, and five miles south of the busy town of St Jean-de-Monts (which also has some great beaches). The focal point of this modern park is the swimming complex that has outdoor and indoor pools, heated pools, jacuzzi and slides/chutes. There is also an excellent children's play area, which along with the many activities makes this a popular family resort. The park runs entertainment throughout the season and there are many local restaurants close by.
Parc de Fierbois at Tours, Loire Valley
Le Parc de Fierbois offers a host of activities, many of which take place in and around the park's central square. Away from the square you will find an impressive modern poolside bar complex to please all the family, with entertainment in high season. The estate also features a charming lake where you can hire pedalos and canoes in high season, or simply enjoy a stroll around it. Just five miles from the market town of Saumur, the most striking thing about this park is the wonderful space and openness of the grounds. There are acres of space for you to relax in and for the children to explore. The site is extremely well maintained by the owners, including an impressive pool complex with waterslides and a separate pool for youngsters and a superb play area. The park has an attractive bar and restaurant. Situated in the Loire, the location is ideal for exploring the many outstanding chateaux.
Les Mouettes at Carantec, Brittany
Les Mouettes is situated near one of the most beautiful bays on the Breton coast. Carantec has a feeling of peace and spaciousness that makes it a popular choice with families. Mature trees and shrubs enhance the park area where most of the pitches are grassy and some are partly shaded but, there are also some large, sunny pitches. One of the main attractions is the impressive swimming pool complex overlooked by the bar terrace, where the children will enjoy floating along the lazy river surrounding the huge water chutes. They can also try their hand at the unusual 18-hole crazy-golf course, not forgetting the beach is just 1.5km away. The picturesque old port of Roscoff is near by and offers boat trips to the island of Batz.
Camping du Golf at Barneville-Carteret, Normandy
Camping du Golf is a beautiful, small site with spacious grassy emplacements, in a perfect location for exploring the area. With the beach and town just a short walk away, there is plenty to see and do. There are also great walking and cycling paths around the coast which deliver some spectacular views of the nearby Channel Islands. Chateau d'Olonne at Les Sables d'Olonne, Vendee
There is much to see here the Ile de Penotte, a picturesque old quarter in the town centre with pedestrian alleys and facades decorated with shells by a local artist, not to mention the La Chaume quarter, where the city originated, the fishermen's district, with the Place Sainte Anne and its magnificent trompe l'il fresco. And don't miss the delicious food market or fishing port where you can find fish at its freshest. The historical theme park, Le Grand Parc du Puy du Fou is also just 92km away. Located in the Vendee, a region famous for its long sandy beaches, close to Les Sables d'Olonne, Residence L'Estran is a hotel and residence located between the Puits d'Enfer, a deep cleft in the cliff into which the sea comes crashing at high tide, and the town centre. The swimming pool faces the sea and the sandy beaches are just 2km away. There are many activities available locally too such as golf and water sports. There is something for everyone.

Chateau lez Eaux at St Pair-sur-Mer, Normandy
This pretty campsite is close to the main route on the Cherbourg peninsula making it ideal for stopovers or the whole holiday. A quiet, friendly Castels park it's a great place to simply relax while you soak up the atmosphere and enjoy its beautiful setting in the grounds of the manor house. Located at the entrance to Camping le Clarys Plage are the feature waterslides and jacuzzi, fountains and bridges, as well as a separate covered pool and a paddling pool for the children.
