Les Genets at St Jean Plage, Vendee
Surrounded by attractive woodland, the excellent facilities make Les Genets ideal for a family holiday. Older children will particularly enjoy a holiday at this lively campsite. The focal point is the outstanding watermark with jacuzzi, waterslides, water chute and lazy-river as well as spacious sun terraces and a new modern bar just been added. A short stroll takes you to a beautiful sandy beach or you can explore the woods and dunes along the coast. This site is three quarters of a mile from Merlin Plage, and four miles from St Jean-de-Monts.
La Yole at St Jean Plage, Vendee
Offering an array of swimming pools that includes an indoor pool, waterslide, paddling pool and spacious play area, this is very much a park for families. The park owners are very proud of their park and are keen for park regulations to be respected. Just a little way from the coast road, La Yole also offers you a beautiful beach nearby and two super resorts just down the road. Out and about, you'll find chic St. Jean de Monts just up the coast which offers a nice change of pace. There's a lovely air of relaxation about this part of the Vendee too, with its myriad of cosy cafes and seaside stalls selling local wine and produce. And should you just want to explore, you'll find that the whole area is covered with fragrant pine forests.
Le Clarys Plage at St Jean Plage, Vendee
The high point of many people's holiday here is the wonderful swimming pool complex with its sun terraces, outdoor pool, choice of water-slides, heated indoor pool and even a jacuzzi. And yet, the magnificent beach at Merlin Plage is just a short stroll away, with the beaches of St Jeande- Monts just a little further. Even so, superb swimming facilities and wonderful beaches are only a small part of the reason for coming to this super park. There is an excellent children's play area here, and activities are first class too, with lively regular entertainment in the bar throughout the season, sometimes going on quite late in high summer. There are also several restaurants open nearby in the height of the season. Some of our pitches are across a road from the main park facilities.
Chateau des Marais at Chambord, Loire Valley
Chateau des Marais is a Michelin awarded three red tent site and it enjoys a lovely position close to the river Loire and the stunning Chateau de Chambord. The grassy pitches are shaded by mature trees, with plenty of space for children to run around. Families with young children will particularly enjoy this peaceful setting. The pool complex will be popular with children of all ages; it includes a covered pool, a lagoon pool, lazy river and waterslides. The popular bar and restaurant make an excellent place for a family meal or cooling drink.
De la Baie at La Trinite-sur-Mer, Brittany
Run by enthusiastic owners, the park offers a wide range of organised children's activities, sports tournaments, bicycle tours and walks. It also features a lovely pool with some shade and a great waterslide. Its greatest attraction though is the choice of two safe sandy beaches, both just a short, safe stroll away. There is also an excellent bar, restaurant, and crêperie, from which you can watch the children playing on the beach, or look out further to the bright sails of the windsurfers beyond. See it just once and you'll understand why Brittany's soft, sandy beaches are such a popular destination for families.
Les Ecureuils at St Hilaire, Vendee
An ideal choice for younger families, Les Ecureuils has a wide beach just across the road, where golden sands stretch for miles. An attractive, well kept park which is landscaped with trees, hedges and flowers. You will find a great outdoor pool complex with waterslide, as well as an indoor pool and a fountain - great fun for the children. The park runs entertainment during the high season in its bar including family discos. The site is not far from several shops including a supermarket, which is open from June onwards.
Interlude at Ile de Re, Vendee
This park is the perfect place to relax, unwind and get away from it all. The pool complex has something for everyone including indoor and outdoor pool areas, as well as a shallow area for toddlers. A short walk from the park is a fantastic beach; the island is surrounded by brilliant beaches perfect for swimming and wind surfing. For those who want to explore there are many cycle paths around the island, or Ile de Re can be reached via a toll bridge. The park offers a wide range of facilities including an excellent gym; sauna and jacuzzi.
Domaine des Ormes at Dol de Bretagne, Brittany
This Castels site has been transformed from a run down chateau. The old watermill is now the bar and the coach house and stables are now the golf club. The fabulous pool complex includes three pools and a superb water park with chutes beside the tree-lined fishing lake, and a new covered lagoon-style pool with wave pool. Our generous, grassy emplacements are scattered throughout the campsite and our Fairytale Cottages are set in a secluded woodland setting - ideal if you are looking for something a little different. There is something for everyone here; tennis, horse riding, bicycle hire, canoeing, pedalo hire and an extensive entertainment programme.

The park has a feeling of peace and spaciousness and coupled with the excellent facilities makes it popular with families. Most of the pitches are grassy and some are partly shaded; the park is looked after to a high standard with mature trees and shrubs enhancing the area. Les Mouettes offers a fantastic pool complex including a lazy river and magnificent slides and planned for 2010 is a covered pool. Morlaix is worth visiting with its pretty setting along a river estuary and its old, cobbled shopping streets.
Camping la Grenouillere at Blois, Loire Valley
Camping la Grenouillere is set in countryside close to the banks of the Loire, this Castels site has a relaxed atmosphere, ideal for a quiet holiday. The large pitches are positioned in both wooded and open areas. At the centre of the site is a rustic chateau surrounded by a moat, which houses a cosy bar and restaurant with a patio area overlooking the pool. The tropical pool complex offers three pools, bridges, slides and water chutes. Theres also a covered pool, a jacuzzi and a sauna. The sporting activities here are excellent. The energetic can enjoy floodlit tennis, volleyball, archery and football, while the more sedate can spend an afternoon fishing at the chateau moat.

At this park you will find an impressive modern poolside bar complex to please all the family, with entertainment in high season. You are also close to a lakeside beach where you can hire pedalos and canoes. It is ideally situated for exploring the Chateau of the Loire region and the vineyards of Chinon and Vouvray. The town of Tours is also close by and is ideal for shopping and sightseeing.

In the evening, you can have a relaxing drink in the bar, which is also the scene of regular family discos in high season, or perhaps enjoy a meal in the equally pleasant restaurant. There are several shops not too far from the park, including a well-stocked supermarket, which is open from June onwards.
Yelloh Villages les Mouettes at Carantec, Brittany
The pool complex is just one of the amazing features of this Yelloh site. Little ones will love splashing around by the fountains and under the bridges, meanwhile can relax on the large sun terraces. In addition a new indoor pool is planned for 2010. Short tennis and mini-golf are ideal for children, while adults can unwind in the bubbling jacuzzi. In the evening you can relax on the bar terrace while the children migrate to the indoor games room or to the disco. A road leads you down from the site to a small beach where children can explore the rock pools with their nets at low tide.

The bar and terrace at Camping de l'Atlantique overlook the pools allowing you to keep an eye on the youngsters as they whiz down the slides. The lively bar hosts a variety of entertainment in high season, including karaoke, magic shows and a weekly disco. Young children have a great time on site, exploring the fishing boat in the play area, or playing mini-golf on the Wizard of Oz course. Although lively in high season the site is much quieter in May and June making it ideal for young families. A path leads you through cool pine trees and over dunes to a fine sandy beach.

And then, of course, there's the wonderful beach which is reached by a private path from the park. There are also many fine day trips to choose from, with lively resorts such as St Hilaire and St Jean de Monts both just a few kilometres away.

There is much to see here the Ile de Penotte, a picturesque old quarter in the town centre with pedestrian alleys and facades decorated with shells by a local artist, not to mention the La Chaume quarter, where the city originated, the fishermen's district, with the Place Sainte Anne and its magnificent trompe l'il fresco. And don't miss the delicious food market or fishing port where you can find fish at its freshest. The historical theme park, Le Grand Parc du Puy du Fou is also just 92km away. Located in the Vendee, a region famous for its long sandy beaches, close to Les Sables d'Olonne, Residence L'Estran is a hotel and residence located between the Puits d'Enfer, a deep cleft in the cliff into which the sea comes crashing at high tide, and the town centre. The swimming pool faces the sea and the sandy beaches are just 2km away. There are many activities available locally too such as golf and water sports. There is something for everyone.

Part of the prestigious Castels chain of parks, La Garangeoire is a splendid site. Although just a 15 minute drive from the Vendee beaches, the park is set in breathtakingly beautiful woods, meadows and lakes. With many generous and largely un-shaded pitches, you are able to explore many of the delightful well marked walks. There is no shortage of things to do with tennis, fishing and boating on the lake. The modern restaurant and bar overlooking the superb pool and the cosy pub style bar offer a pleasant evening.

Les Mouettes is situated near one of the most beautiful bays on the Breton coast. Carantec has a feeling of peace and spaciousness that makes it a popular choice with families. Mature trees and shrubs enhance the park area where most of the pitches are grassy and some are partly shaded but, there are also some large, sunny pitches. One of the main attractions is the impressive swimming pool complex overlooked by the bar terrace, where the children will enjoy floating along the lazy river surrounding the huge water chutes. They can also try their hand at the unusual 18-hole crazy-golf course, not forgetting the beach is just 1.5km away. The picturesque old port of Roscoff is near by and offers boat trips to the island of Batz.
