Les Menhirs at Carnac Plage, Brittany
The ideal choice for a family beach holiday with the bustling seaside resort of Carnac Plage within a 5 minute stroll. The park itself features an excellent swimming pool complex, with a giant waterslide and water chute, covered pool and even a little slide into the children's pool. Children can also go for pony rides just off the park, while adults can hire bikes to go around the peninsula as well as enjoying the small gym, solarium and jacuzzi and a number of games such as football, basketball and boules. And if you can tear yourselves away, you'll find that Carnac Plage has a superb sandy beach with a choice of water sports and many fine restaurants and shops.
Chateau des Ormes at Dol-de-Bretagne, Brittany
With 250 acres of chateau parkland and woods, this site is extremely popular with our customers, particularly teenagers, and becomes very lively in high season. Les Ormes also offers you an extensive range of good facilities, together with an even more impressive range of activities. Golf and riding take pride of place on the sporting agenda however, as the park has its own 18 hole course, complete with an exclusive clubhouse for golfers and horse riding school offering rides for all ages and treks for all abilities. You can also play tennis, ramble through the vast and beautiful estate, or you may just want to enjoy the splendid water park style pool complex, with new wave pool and covered pool. You can get a refreshing drink at the lakeside bar, or perhaps on the terrace next to the swimming pool complex where lots of evening entertainment is on offer. Children will love the watermark with its four-lane waterslide and the newly built indoor pool complex. There is also a recently built outdoor wave pool, great fun for all the family to enjoy. Pedalos can be hired on the campsite lake. There is a cosy pub with lakeside terrace and restaurant, plus all-weather football pitch and an activity programme all season. Dol-de-Bretagne is 8km away.
Interlude at Ile de Re, Vendee
This park is the perfect place to relax, unwind and get away from it all. The pool complex has something for everyone including indoor and outdoor pool areas, as well as a shallow area for toddlers. A short walk from the park is a fantastic beach; the island is surrounded by brilliant beaches perfect for swimming and wind surfing. For those who want to explore there are many cycle paths around the island, or Ile de Re can be reached via a toll bridge. Should the children bore of the water there is a children's club run by Al Fresco for 4-12 year olds. There are so many outdoor activities available you will have to work hard to find time to relax. Near by you will find boat trips to the Channel Islands and sailing from St Malo, the chateau and lake at Combourg is 6miles away. Further afield is Mont St Michel with its beautiful abbey and museum.
Camping de I' Atlantique at Fouesnant, Brittany
The bar and terrace at Camping de l'Atlantique overlook the pools allowing you to keep an eye on the youngsters as they whiz down the slides. The lively bar hosts a variety of entertainment in high season, including karaoke, magic shows and a weekly disco. Young children have a great time on site, exploring the fishing boat in the play area, or playing mini-golf on the Wizard of Oz course. Although lively in high season the site is much quieter in May and June making it ideal for young families. A path leads you through cool pine trees and over dunes to a fine sandy beach.

A well-kept park, L'Oceano is well situated in unspoilt countryside. There is plenty of family entertainment and live music in high season in the parks special amphitheatre. The owners have kept to the traditional Vendeen style with the park buildings have been built in traditional style. The spacious bar has a relaxed atmosphere. The grassy pitches are bordered with low hedgerows or small trees providing some privacy. The swimming pool complex has a water chute and waterslides, surrounded by spacious sun terraces.

The pool complex is just one of the amazing features of this Yelloh site. Little ones will love splashing around by the fountains and under the bridges, meanwhile can relax on the large sun terraces. Le Clarys Plage at St Jean Plage, Vendee

For those who prefer the salty version the beach is a short walk and is great for jumping waves, body boarding or relaxing in the sun. A little further away you will find the zoo at Sables which is worth a visit.
Yello Village Cote de Nacre at St Aubin-sur-Mer, Normandy
Within 1/2 a mile of a sandy beach Cote de Nacre is a site with plenty to do including a tropical pool complex with swimming pool, water slides and chutes. There is a covered pool which is heated and a childrens splash pool. For those looking to relax there is a sauna and Hammam, There is a playground for smaller children and organised activities for children aged 7-10 years from mid July to August. Camping la Grenouillere at Blois, Loire Valley
Camping la Grenouillere is set in countryside close to the banks of the Loire, this Castels site has a relaxed atmosphere, ideal for a quiet holiday. The large pitches are positioned in both wooded and open areas. At the centre of the site is a rustic chateau surrounded by a moat, which houses a cosy bar and restaurant with a patio area overlooking the pool. The tropical pool complex offers three pools, bridges, slides and water chutes. Theres also a covered pool, a jacuzzi and a sauna. The sporting activities here are excellent. The energetic can enjoy floodlit tennis, volleyball, archery and football, while the more sedate can spend an afternoon fishing at the chateau moat.

The Camping Sol-a-Gogo is a well kept park with direct access to a superb beach. Just a short stroll from the resort of Les Mouettes, the park has a fantastic swimming pool complex with water chutes, waterslides and a covered pool. A very well maintained park, including bar and a lively entertainment programme in high season. Some noise may be heard from the local road. The park is close to the lively resorts of St Hilaire and St Jean de Monts.
La Yole at St Jean Plage, Vendee
Offering an array of swimming pools that includes an indoor pool, waterslide, paddling pool and spacious play area, this is very much a park for families. The park owners are very proud of their park and are keen for park regulations to be respected. Just a little way from the coast road, La Yole also offers you a beautiful beach nearby and two super resorts just down the road. Out and about, you'll find chic St. Jean de Monts just up the coast which offers a nice change of pace. There's a lovely air of relaxation about this part of the Vendee too, with its myriad of cosy cafes and seaside stalls selling local wine and produce.
