The superb pool complex has two pools, one with a lazy river, toboggans and a retractable roof over one of the pools. The park is extremely pretty, in a lovely setting close to a small village and is also perfectly placed for sightseeing. The Loire River is just a short distance away, with opportunities for canoeing and fishing. Most importantly, the Loire is most famous for its many chateaux, two of which, Chambord and Blois, are close to hand.

Located at the entrance to Camping le Clarys Plage are the feature waterslides and jacuzzi, fountains and bridges, as well as a separate covered pool and a paddling pool for the children. L'Atlantique is just 3km from the small seaside resort of Beg-Meil, with a beautiful setting next to a nature reserve. The site is popular not least because of its swimming pool complex, with its large waterslides and spectacular pools. In fact, in early and late summer the park is especially suited to those wanting a quiet holiday with small children and having direct access to the sandy banks of the river Elle it really comes into it's own.

In a very popular family area, this excellent park is regarded as one of the best in the Vendee. It is located close to the beach, just a ten minute walk, and five miles south of the busy town of St Jean-de-Monts (which also has some great beaches). The focal point of this modern park is the swimming complex that has outdoor and indoor pools, heated pools, jacuzzi and slides/chutes. There is also an excellent children's play area, which along with the many activities makes this a popular family resort. The park runs entertainment throughout the season and there are many local restaurants close by.

The pool complex is just one of the amazing features of this Yelloh site. Little ones will love splashing around by the fountains and under the bridges, meanwhile can relax on the large sun terraces. In addition a new indoor pool is planned for 2010. Short tennis and mini-golf are ideal for children, while adults can unwind in the bubbling jacuzzi. In the evening you can relax on the bar terrace while the children migrate to the indoor games room or to the disco. A road leads you down from the site to a small beach where children can explore the rock pools with their nets at low tide.

The first thing that will strike you about this superb parc is the wonderful space and openness of the grounds. There are simply acres and acres for you to relax in and for the children to run off their spare energy. The facilities are excellent, including an impressive pool complex with waterslides and a separate toddler pool. The family proprietors are your hosts in the attractive bar and restaurant, and their personal approach is much in evidence throughout. The location is ideal for exploring, with l'Etang de la Breche nearby as well as many outstanding chateaux.

The high point of many people's holiday here is the wonderful swimming pool complex with its sun terraces, outdoor pool, choice of water-slides, heated indoor pool and even a jacuzzi. And yet, the magnificent beach at Merlin Plage is just a short stroll away, with the beaches of St Jeande- Monts just a little further. Even so, superb swimming facilities and wonderful beaches are only a small part of the reason for coming to this super park. There is an excellent children's play area here, and activities are first class too, with lively regular entertainment in the bar throughout the season, sometimes going on quite late in high summer. There are also several restaurants open nearby in the height of the season. Some of our pitches are across a road from the main park facilities.

Bel at La Tranche-sur-Mer, Vendee

Not far from the town of La Tranche-sur-Mer, Camping Bel is a small site and has a friendly and relaxed atmosphere. The beach is nearby and is typical of the great beaches in the area and is perfect for swimming, windsurfing or just simply relaxing. The site has a number of shaded pitches and the facilities are very well maintained. There is a nice pool with a sun terrace. For those that are more energetic, the sports facilities include half tennis courts and an outdoor fitness course.
